Tom Weschler, legendary photographer, former roadie, and author of Travelin’ Man: On the Road and Behind the Scenes with Bob Seger, has spent more than 50 years documenting the entertainment industry in Detroit.
Weschler’s photography collection, consisting of countless artists who have performed in the Detroit area, is the focus of his newly-published Indigogo crowdfunding project titled Encore Entertainment Photographs 1964-2014 by Tom Weschler.
The high-quality photography book hopes to unveil the off-stage antics, quiet moments, and organic scenes of rock-n’-roll’s most notorious personalities. The Indiegogo project-video contains photography samples featuring: Jimi Hendrix, Bob Segar, Jim Morrison, KISS, Tom Petty, Diana Ross, James Brown, Van Halen, Elvis Costello, Queen, AC/DC, and others.

The project’s funding goal is a whopping $68,000, but began with more than 50 days of possible funding. Project perks include: single photography prints (signed by Tom Weschler), signed standard and deluxe editions of Encore Entertainment Photographs 1964-2014 by Tom Weschler, full color posters, and a personal acknowledgement within the published book itself.
Weschler’s Indiegogo campaign will end May 31, 2014 and deliveries on items can be expected within a year.
