New Fortune Records has been churning out independent releases since 2011, and it’s eclectic roster of artists keeps growing. Thankfully, the independent label has designed a Memorial Day weekend showcase to highlight their talent – New Fortune Fest (II).
On May 24, more than a dozen acts will converge on New Dodge Lounge in Hamtramck for a 12-hour artist showcase. From the psychedelic folk of Dave Bixby to the soulful house music from Ancient Language, this show is sure to impress anyone with ears. The night will also feature a handful of special edition vinyl releases from local artists, as well as themed drinks provided by New Dodge.
Tickets are available at the door ($8-$10), 18+ welcome. (May 24, 2 p.m. – May 25, 2 a.m.)
