One of Detroit’s most legendary hip hop personalities and producers — J Dilla — is now an action figure.
Conceptualized by Detroit artist Sintex (who has been recently warring with out-of-town mural artists), and designed/sculpted by Korean artist P2PL, the J Dilla figure is more than 7 inches tall and includes a “D” baseball cap, silver Donuts chain and MPC drum machine & sampler. The limited edition (of 2000) figure is officially licensed by Stüssy, as the J Dilla doll proudly displays.
Pre-orders for the J Dilla figure are being accepted as of December 1, but units will not be delivered to buyers until February 2015. The J Dilla figure will cost Detroit hip hop heads and beat aficionados $60.
