Today has been a busy day for Detroit’s teenage rap star Lil George.

Monday morning, at approximately 9 a.m., DJ Envy of New York’s The Breakfast Club (syndicated via Detroit’s FM98 WJLB) premiered the remix of Lil George’s 2014 anthem “Sauce,” featuring rap heavyweight French Montana. The updated three-minute single follows a summer of heavy radio rotation and the April release of the original version’s video accompaniment, which features fellow Detroit superstar Icewear Vezzo.

If that wasn’t enough, Lil George announced later that he had signed a recording contract with Sony/Brooklyn Knights Entertainment. The video for the remix version of “Sauce” will reportedly shoot on September 17. (Hopefully, in Detroit.)
