For a quarter of a century, the highly renowned German label Tresor has been boldly challenging genre classifications of all kinds, and as part of its 25-year anniversary celebrations it has announced the release of a collaborative album by Juan Atkins and Moritz Van Oswald. The techno icons first worked together as Borderland in 1992, when Tresor put out 3MB: Magic Juan Atkins.

The duo’s new LP, Transport, is a fitting title for the project, as geographically, the two artists form a musical bridge between Berlin and Detroit. The album consists of eight tracks, which will be issued periodically as a series of three 12” vinyl records and one CD. It all kicks off with the release of the EP Riod on March 11, followed by the entire Transport LP on April 24.
