Jamaican Queens get gruesome on “Never Felt Love” video

It’s only been a couple weeks since Jamaican Queens released a video for “Don’t Call Me Up,” and they’ve now shared some visuals for another Downers cut — “Never Felt Love.”

 

It seems like both the band and director Brenton Bober are eager for Halloween weekend to arrive. The video calls to mind classic horror movie icons such as Carrie and Leatherface, and it’s one of the most unearthly things the band have released yet (and that’s saying something).

 

Punctuated by beautiful lighting and camerawork (courtesy of director of photography Megan Schram), a great performance from Bryan Smith, and additional artistic input from Andrew Remdenok, the video “Never Felt Love” is as demented as anything off Jamaican Queens’ latest full-length.
