Eminem drops cameo-filled, epic “Phenomenal” video

Detroit’s Marshall Mathers was set to star in this year’s Antoine Fuqua-directed boxing movie Southpaw but dropped out back in 2010 before filming started. The movie was released in July and features this musical contribution from Slim Shady, the song “Phenomenal.”

Now we have a video for the track, which features multiple explosions, a car chase, a cryptic cameo from John Malkovich and a surprisingly coordinated Eminem. It is truly packed to the brim with action scenes that would make Michael Bay proud and is arguably more exciting than watching Jake Gyllenhaal get pummeled in Southpaw.

There might be more action on the way: 50 Cent hinted at a possible collab album with Eminem in a recent vlog post. You can watch all seven minutes of “Phenomenal” below, which also includes an appearance from Em’s longtime mentor, Dr. Dre.
