Gosh Pith — “Prints”

With only a handful of recorded songs, Gosh Pith have already garnered a reputation for their innovative sound and inability to be boring. They’ve been touring relentlessly over the past couple of months and playing locally as well, putting on some of the most captivating live shows in Detroit in recent memory.

On their latest track, Josh Freed and Josh Smith throw synths out the window in favor of a rock structure that is akin to that of Spoon. It’s a more traditional song instrumentally, relying on a slick guitar line and dreamy vocals, yet it never loses the Gosh Pith swagger we have come to expect from the cosmic duo. “Prints” offers something refreshing for existing fans and definitely appeals to an entirely new audience who can appreciate their infectious pop sensibilities.
