Detroit emcee Danny Brown recently supplied the voice for an animated character named Jumanji on Fox Animation Domination High-Def’s Lucas Bros. Moving Co.

Fox Animation Domination High-Def (ADHD) is an adult-oriented, Saturday night block of cartoon programming, much like Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Lucas Bros. Moving Company, which began airing early 2014, is an ADHD program starring the comedic Lucas brothers (Kenny and Keith), WWF’s Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Mary Mack, Jerrod Carmichael, Beck Bennett, Natasha Leggero, and now – Danny Brown.

The program’s newest episode, “A/C Tundra,” features Brown’s voice as Jumanji: a bearded, psychedelic mushroom-eating Rastafarian who assists the Lucas brothers in turning off their apartment building’s possessed air-conditioning unit. Brown/Jumanji saves the twins from falling to a certain death, passes out hallucinogenic mushrooms and pauses the action to host a “twerk”-heavy musical number with a dozen giant cats.

SPOILER:

Jumani ultimately sacrifices himself for the sake of the quest, mirroring Arnold Schwarzenegger’s molten-metal sacrifice from Terminator II: Judgement Day. His final words: “I am so high right now.”

Brown’s instantly-quotable character is a hilarious addition to Lucas Bros. Moving Co. and the rapper’s multi-platform resume. The commentary provided by Jumani is bizarre, erratic and unmistakeably the cartoon-embodiment of Detroit’s “Adderall Admiral.”

“I’m from a magical land,” Jumanji says while driving a sleigh. “Where there’s nothing but white sand and beautiful blonde girls with tans.”

“Oh, Really?” the brothers ask.

Jumanji confesses: “Nah. I’m from Detroit… You want some mushrooms?”
