Two of Detroit’s most celebrated Motown acts will perform back-to-back as The Temptations and Four Tops visit Freedom Hill Amphitheatre on July 21.

Four Tops (1953-present) and The Temptations (1960-present) boast a combined 14 record labels, 25 chart-topping hits, 55 full-length studio albums, and 10 Rock-n’-Roll Hall of Fame inductees. The groups have remained active, with one surviving original member still performing with each group: Otis Williams (72) of The Temptations, and Abdul “Duke” Fakir (79) with Four Tops.

During the 1960s, Detroit’s ‘Motown Sound’ ruled the airwaves with hits from The Temptations, such as: “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “I Can’t Get Next to You,” Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me),” “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” and unforgettable melodies from Four Tops including “I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch),” “It’s the Same Old Song,” “Reach Out I’ll Be There,” and “Ain’t No Woman (Like the One I’ve Got).”

The two legendary acts will perform at sterling Heights’ Freedom Hill Amphitheatre for one of the most-anticipated Motor City reunions of the summer. Tickets range from $10 to $85.
