Nigel & The Dropout enlist Passalacqua for “Rearrange”

It’s Nigel & The Dropout…/ And a couple other dudes, too.

 

Passalacqua announce the return of the popular Detroit dance-rock duo in the opening line of Nigel & The Dropout’s new single, “Rearrange.” The track is a collaboration between the two groups, with Passalacqua’s Mister and Brent “Blak” Smith spitting a couple of breezy verses over buzzing synths and boom-bap snare. Nigel & The Dropout deliver a catchy chorus and mix in some saxophone, adding a funky element to their existing penchant for punchy, exuberant melodies.

 

Nigel & The Dropout will play The Loving Touch on Friday, January 15, with support from Passalacqua, Eddie Logix, and Racehorses Are Racehorses. In addition, their song “Sonder” will be featured on the Showtime series Shameless Sunday, January 24, which is also pretty cool. Listen to “Rearrange” below:
