It’s safe to say that we could be getting a new Eminem project sometime soon.

If you somehow missed the boat on the mystery surrounding Revival, a quick refresher might get you up to speed. As evidenced by this photo, Em and his team seem to have taken an unconventional approach to promoting his rumored upcoming release. What do Paul Rosenberg’s Instagram, a fake prescription drug website, and a DJ Drama interview have in common? All appear to hold some clues about what we can expect next from Eminem. And now with a new Instagram post from the man himself, things seem even more certain.

Of course all this speculation has got the music world buzzing, but Detroiters in particular may be excited for several reasons. Big Sean’s February release I Decided. boasts a feature from the self-proclaimed “Rap God” on the standout track “No Favors,” arguably serving as a primer for his contentious BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle cypher. On top of that, last night fans flocked to the Bel Air Luxury Cinema for a special screening of 8 Mile, celebrating the 15th anniversary of the film’s release alongside an assortment of cast and crew, with all proceeds going to the Verses Project.

If you missed last night’s event, be sure to head to St. Andrew’s Hall this evening for the 8 Mile 15 Year Anniversary Official Afterparty, hosted by WJLB’s Bushman and featuring a rap battle hosted by Quest Mcody, a performance by Detroit’s own Miz Korona, and maybe even a certain vocalist who’s reportedly in town preparing for the MTV Europe Awards as we speak. The event also benefits the Verses Project; for more information or to purchase tickets, click here.
