Drexciya’s Harnessed the Storm to be reissued by Tresor

The celebrated Detroit techno duo Drexciya will have their 2002 LP Harnessed the Storm reissued by the prolific Berlin label Tresor. The album was composed as the first of seven conceptually connected works (referred to by the act as “storms”) that James Stinson and Gerald Donald wrote over the duration of a single year. However, Harnessed the Storm is the only record from the series that was attributed to Drexciya, with the others being released under different monikers.

 

This reissue comes in the wake of Tresor’s re-release of Neptune’s Lair in May of this year, the pair’s first album as Drexciya. The imprint was also responsible for a reissue of the late James Stinson’s 2001 album The Opening of the Cerebral Gate, which he originally released under the name Transllusion. Harnessed the Storm will be re-released as a ten-track compact disc as well as a seven-track double vinyl on December 1. Check out the tracklist for the CD version below:
