Renowned Detroit musician, producer, engineer and emcee Eddie Logix has gifted the Detroit music community with a capacious portfolio of projects, EPs, albums and collectives over the years, but now – listeners are giving back.

On the evening of Monday, April 13, Logix, part of the #CoOwnaz creative collective, Sleepless Inn and Midcoast Most, returned to his Hamtramck in-home studio to find his back window broken and his extensive arsenal of recording equipment missing. The stolen equipment includes: a MacBook Pro laptop computer, XPC computer tower, project hard drive, microphone and mic stand, pair of KRK Rokit 6″ studio monitors, 2 pairs of sony studio headphones, audio interface, 8 channel mixer and an invaluable stockpile of unfinished work with countless local artists.

Logix shared his story with fans and collaborators via social media on April 20, explaining his situation and asking for support from the community he has so diligently served. In only 17 hours, a Go Fund Me page, which was created to help raise funds for a new studio for Logix, reached nearly half of its $5,000 donation goal.

Eddie Logix has been recording Detroit artists from his in-home studio for more than half a decade. Recently relocated from Eastern Market to Hamtramck, Logix, and his engineering and production, has been featured by artists such as: Danny Brown, Guilty Simpson, Passalacqua, Metasyons, Doc Waffles, Warren Peace, Mobil, Doc Illingsworth, James Linck, Benjamin Miles, J Walker XVI, Mr. Chief, SelfSays, Dante LaSalle, Goldzilla, Nicky $tix, Laura Finlay, Britney Stoney and many others.
