Detroit techno artist Carl Craig has released a punchy remix of The Chemical Brothers’ “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted,” off the English duo’s eighth full-length, Born in the Echoes. Craig’s version is over two times as long as the original, yet more urgent thanks to cranked-up bass and the addition of some nasty synth flares. The remix is the veteran producer’s first new material since The KMS Remixes Vol. 2 dropped in early September.
Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, and several other Detroit artists were scheduled to perform last Friday at Paris’ Virgo club, but the performance was cancelled due to terror attacks throughout the city. The artists, who were safe in their hotel rooms during the incident, have since resumed the rest of the “Detroit Love” tour.
